There are multiple artists that have used the name Reel: 1) Reel are the duo of V and E, formed in 1996, and hailing from London, Ontario, Canada, they started collaborating together to make their Poptronic-rock sound. In 1997 reel released its first C.D. entitled ?Free As Air? and began playing small clubs and venues. 3) Reel is a Russian world music band, based in Russian folk and traditions. The idea of some kind of mutual integration of different musical cultures is in the basis of the first album titled "Strange People" (strannie ludi).
Reel are: Olga Gajdamak (Vocals, violin), Alexander Leonov (Vocals, flute, iouhikko), Arcady Sokolov (Drums, background vocals), Sergey Sheljapin (Double bass) & Alexey Derevlyov (Guitars, background vocals).
4) Reel is also the name of a semi-popular Irish boyband, active in the 2000's. They released two singles - Lift Me Up and You Take Me Away.
