Tomte

Tomte is an indie band from Hamburg, Germany. Founded under the name of Warpigs in 1987 by Thees Uhlmann (vocals/guitar), Christian Stemmann (bass/vocals) Hanspeter K?ster (bass) and Peter Hein?en (drums). It later changed its name to Tomte. Stemmann left the band in 2001 and was replaced by Oliver Koch on bass. In January 2008, drummer Timo Bodenstein departed from the band, leaving behind Uhlmann as the last member of Tomte's original formation. Tomte in 2008: Thees Uhlmann (vocals/guitar), Max Martin Schr?der (percussion), Dennis Becker (guitar) and Simon Frontzek (keyboards).

Uhlmann occassionaly gives solo performances. Schr?der also plays in Olli Schulz & der Hund Marie, while Koch and Becker were involved with the experimental indie band Marr.
