Goddo was one of Canada's rising stars of the music industry in the late 70's and early 80's. Fronted by Greg Godovitz on vocal, Gino Scarpelli on guitar and Doug Inglis on drums, Goddo made cross Canada sweeps creating a loyal fan base that crowded into sold out shows. While the band had considerable talent, only their song "Pretty Bad Boy" got much radio play. Godovitz continued to front the band through the years although there were numerous personnel changes.
A killer band live, they never got their fair shake. Gino Scarpelli has gotten ill over the past several years and unable to play. Recently Godovitz reformed the band and played a sold out gig in Toronto with Gino's son Gene on lead guitar. It was eerie to see the mannerisms and pure riffs the younger Scarpelli inherited.
