There are (at least) four groups using the name The Hunters. 1. The Hunters is a beatband that was active during 1965-1968. They became popular after recording The Byrds' song Mr. Tambouriune Man. More famous became the band after releasing Russian Spy and I, which was written by Jan Akkerman. They re-released this song several times. When The Hunters broke up, Jan went to Brainbox. 2. The Hunters is an electronic audiovisual trio based in Tokyo Japan.
