Ferreira or Martinho da Vila is one of the most famous brazilian musicians.His sambas reflect the swing and malice of Vila Isabel a bohemian reduct on the north side of Rio de Janeiro.His songs were recorded by many artists and even got versions in hebrew(can you imagine?).His unique vocal style is often imitated but never duplicated.A master poet he is one of the few sambistas that is still loyal to samba roots and to Rio's musical traditions.
