Chantal Chamandy

Though she was born in Alexandria, Egypt, to an Egyptian/Greek father and Lebenese mother, Chantal Chamandy spent most of her life in Montreal, Canada, where her family moved when she was a young girl. In the late 1970s, she became one half of disco duo Voggue, who had a couple hits. She later released two mildly successful solo albums in the 1980s as Chantal Condor and just Chantal.
