28 North is an American rock band that formed in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in 2004. The band is composed of Michael Lindner (vocals, guitar), Tyler Bond (vocals, drums,) and Jonathan Colman (bass guitar, vocals), and Taylor Netzler (guitar, vocals). 28 North is known for its blend of classic rock, alternative, pop, and jam rock genres. Pittsburgh Magazine voted 28 North "Best Band" in their "Best of the 'Burgh 2010: Arts & Entertainment" September 2010 issue.
The group is named after Route 28 in Pittsburgh. 28 North tours tours the U.S. frequently and extensively and has performed with acts such as My Morning Jacket, Blues Traveler, Ace Frehley, Leon Russell, and Steel Panther. Jerry Heller began managing 28 North in April of 2011, and they proceeded to relocate to Los Angeles shortly after in July. The band is currently recording a new album with producer David Kershenbaum in Studio City, CA.
