Tommy Giles Rogers, Jr. started his musical career in 1999 in Charlotte, NC as a guitarist for the metalcore band Prayer For Cleansing. When the band broke up in 2000, Rogers and guitarist Paul Waggoner co-founded the progressive metal band Between the Buried and Me. After establishing a full lineup, the band released a three-song demo and a self-titled debut in 2002. In 2004, Rogers released an electronica album for his side project Giles. Rogers was a vocalist for the metal band From Here On and has appeared in numerous other musical projects including the influential metal band Undying.
He and Jacob Troth started a clothing line and a small musical duo project under the name of Jacob Rogers. He is featured in the August Burns Red song "Indonesia", and appears on the Devin Townsend Project album Deconstruction.
Rogers released a solo album under the name of Thomas Giles entitled Pulse, which was released through Metal Blade Records on February 1, 2011.
