Wycliffe Gordon (born 1967 in Waynesboro, Georgia) is a jazz trombonist. He also plays the didgeridoo. In 1993 he wrote the theme song for National Public Radio Wycliffe Gordon came from a strongly religious background, his father was a church organist, that influenced the early direction of his music. He became interested in jazz at thirteen due to an Aunt's collection.
