The Sins formed in 2001 as a post-punk entity (inspired by early goth rock bands such as The Sisters of Mercy and The Mission, U.K. as well as American rock legends like The Doors). Since their inception, The Sins consistently captivated audiences with a dynamic stage presence, vigorous showmanship, and strikingly powerful music. With band members from various musical backgrounds and disciplines (including a jazz-influenced live drummer and a classically trained violinist), The Sins boldly paved their own musical path...
What separated The Sins from so many of their counterparts was the cutting-edge diversity which enabled them to appeal to a broader and more varied audience base than many "goth" bands. Since the release of "The Beginning," their music has been met with devilish enthusiasm while tracks from the CD topped charts at music websites such as MP3.com and SoundClick.
The Sins recorded and released a darker and heavier follow-up album "The Last One Kills," in late 2004. While the band has been on an 'indefinite hiatus' since June 2006, it has been rumored that they will re-group at some point in the future to release their third full-length CD.
