Bamberg , Germany . World Heritage Site and home of THE Go FASTER NUNS. The four gents play Beatpunk somewhere between The Who and Black Flag - and will kick your ass big-time. With Devo-esque melodies, D.D. Windisch, Beaker, Mr. Spaceboy and T. van Guzyfer dash forward and will not lay to rest until you are overwhelmed by dancing and close to your third heart attack. Those who don't teeter along will have no one else but themselves to blame.
In the summer of 1999, THE Go FASTER NUNS record their first self-titled single which is highly acclaimed by Fanzine Germany. The band then proceeds to come up with a split single together with Italian Willy Wonkas in August 2000. In 2001, their debut-album "Teenage Love Beats" is released on Superrock Records/Weserlabel/Indigo - and again, it is enthusiastically praised by the press. What follows is relentless touring throughout Germany, Belgium, Holland and Italy at which the nuns prove themselves on a par with the likes of Leatherface, the New Bomb Turks, Steakknife, Sonny Vincent, Snuff, Gluecifer and the Turbo AC's and thereby consequently win over an ever-growing fan base.
After an extensive stop-over at the studio, the long awaited second full-length "Under Neon Light" will hit streets in March 2005. Backed up by a new label (Go-Kart Records Europe) and booking agency (Weird World) the new album outshines everything that the nuns have released so far. Sometimes forceful, sometimes sexy, sometimes charming, but always with outgoing sympathy, THE Go FASTER NUNS rock through their 12 songs. "Under Neon Light" will surely convince everyone, as the Nuns dance and rock - better than ever. This is nothing for the dull amusement in between - in fact, it is a guarantee for the ultimate ear candy factor which will invade your stereo once you hit the play button. It stays in the brain just like chewing gum on a cardigan! More clever and more modern. And outside of the box.
