Tanya Janca

Known for her blunt lyrics and crisp, high-energy guitar playing, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada's Tanya Janca offers up optimistic, hopeful and positive folky pop-rock stylings with mild punk undertones, liberally sprinkled with political commentary and wry social reservations, with a clear feminist slant to her lyrics. Her latest work steers from bitter endings of betrayal to discovery of things beautiful and real as she works to "Recreate" her musical self on her fourth independent album since starting to write, record, and perform folk music in 1998.

Tanya formerly provided lead vocals to Eugene and the Eugenics.
