Donna McAfee was born in Chicago and studied voice at Kenwood Academy under her teacher Lena McLin. She went to school with many futures entertainers and artists including R. Kelly and Charlene HInes (singer on American IDOL) and guitarist Ray Fuller. She moved to Los Angeles to persue her career in music and had the priviledge of singing with Micheal Jackson, Natalie Cole and many others. Donna came off the road to start a Sunday Gospel music show at BB Kings in Hollywood and took a chance to see if any TV network would be interested in the show.
