DOGFACE, a highly 70s influenced Melodic Rock act, was a collaboration between the journeyman vocalist Mats Lev?n, whose credits include YNGWIE MALMSTEEN, TREAT and SWEDISH EROTICA, and guitarist Martin Kronlund. Drummer Patrik Engelbrektsson cites previous tenures with both QUIP and EARTHQUAKE. Former MOT?-RHEAD and THIN LIZZY guitarist Brian Robertson guests on the debut January 2001 album 'Unleashed'.

DOGFACE returned in May 2002 with a second album 'In Control'. Martin Kronlund was back on the scene in early 2005 touting a seemingly new act entitled GYPSY ROSE, in actuality a reformation of a band he had first initiated during 1981. Mats Lev?n added backing vocals to the debut GYPSY ROSE album.
