Steven Ray (aka 'delraysteve') hails from Washington, D.C. He was a member of several bands during the 1980's, most notably the two-man band industrial band Noise Palace. Taking influence from other outfits such as Ministry and Front 242, Noise Palace wrote and recorded several tracks over the two year period 1984-1986. A split resulted in Ray releasing the solo 'Black Kites' in 1986, followed by 'Third' in 1988 and 'This Decade' in 1989.
Ray was completely off the musical radar for several years, but resurfaced in 2003 with a self-released CD single featuring downtempo and latin rhythms, which went for sale on CDBaby under the 'delraysteve' moniker.
He released one track in 2006 entitled 'West Coast Boogie' on MySpace, which mixed latin and funk.
