born after a reunion between paddy flynn and john newberry at a 2006 screening of the minutemen documentary "our band could be your life" the two former higher foes and shaking hands with the governor friends invited each other to a friendly hangout of what had been going on for the previous two years they had been apart. like a well-oiled machine the two clicked and original songs started overflowing. an invitation to former squelch's drummer, chris smith, ensued a trio with a common wanting to make music and play out a lot, deep Snapper was formed.
