Decimation Age

Decimation Age play destructive Metalcore/Post-Hardcore compromising of various high pitched screams, low toned growls, melodic clean vocals, technical guitar riffs, rumbling bass lines and precise captivating drumming. The band cites Lamb of God, Emperor, At The Gates, The Agony Scene and Killswitch Engage as some of their key influences. Residing from Cape Town, South Africa, the band has managed to be an active band in such a small (although growing) scene.

Since 2004 the band has managed to collect a handful of achievements including 3 awards at Bandslam 2005, an opening slot for Trustkill Records act Most Precious Blood in 2006, participation in a number of local festivals such as Noise Fest 2006, Witchfest 2006, Knife Fight Festival 2006 and Horrorfest 2006.

The current line-up includes Ignatius Ferreira (Screams), John Havemann (Clean vocals and some more screams), Paul Delport (Guitar), Dawie Pretorius (Guitar), Neels Pretorius (Bass), Warrick Weichart (Drums)
