Now based in Portland, Oregon, this four-piece has composed a homespun, acoustic elegy to their Midwest home of South Bend, Indiana that doubles as a series of vignettes as finely wrought as short stories. Hushed, detail-packed songs, such as "Building By the Street" and "Midwest Stars," lend substance to the anonymous inhabitants of the little towns and houses you see on your way to somewhere else.
