davyno is the performing name of dave macleod who was born in 1978 and raised in the small town of 100 mile house in the interior of bc, canada. in 2006 macleod met with a group of life-long musician friends in a cabin on lac la hache lake and recorded his first full length album: cold familiar sky. macleod wrote the lyrics and the outline fo the music and then collaborated with multi-instumentalist, producer and recording engineer mitch bennett for the majority of the tracks.

'the milers' were formed when the collective of musicians joined together to perform songs from 'cold familiar sky' live around western canada.
cold familiar sky's debut on local 100 mile radio saw 5 copies fly off the shelf and one lucky fan walked away with a free pizza.
