Born in 1970. Moved to Portland in '92 as backup guitar, tambourine player, singer in a band. Started writing in '95, after much gnashing of teeth, thanks to Jim Boyer, the Michael Hurley album "The Long Journey" and Courage. I've been writing the same song ever since. Small amount of regional touring with Casey Neill. Mostly a local-yokel. Opened for Roger McGuinn of Byrds fame and for Bob Dylan of Bob Dylan fame.
Shared the stage with all of my favorite, kick-ass, local musician friends: see influences (all bad!) on the other side of my space. I am a mother. My son is 3 and he kicks ass, too. I would open for him anytime.
