David Greer

(from CD Baby) David grew up in the deep South, and wrote his first hit at the age of 3. His early songwriting however, lacked lyrical depth, musical accompaniment, and intelligible phrases. Not deterred by his early challenges, David sought improvement by aging, learning to strum guitars and bang pianos, and eventually by earning a bachelor's degree in Communications and Creative Writing from the University of Alabama. While in college, he continued to grow as a songwriter, spinning out catchy melodies and heartfelt lyrics while performing his songs in music venues across the South.

His work soon paid off as David caught the ears of producers Duane Cunningham and Byron Sommardahl. They soon began recording the sessions that would evolve into "This Story."

"This Story" is David's debut project, one which paints a melodic landscape of emotional and spiritual yearning, yet is anchored in the truth of God's Great Story. From the airy acoustic opening of the title track to the driving intensity of the prodigal-inspired "Return of the Son" to the soaring electric climax of "Psalm 99," the inspired tracks take the listener on a triumphant journey. A story of man and God. Of need and fulfillment. Of helplessness and rescue. Of depravity and purity. This story.
