Danville Trains are original songwriting performers who are 100% independently produced. Taking their name from a lyric by The Band, they bring soul and feeling back to rock and roll. Their music incorporates all the best elements of great classic rock, with a modern touch. They blend their own distinct sound with elements of Blues, Rock, Soul, and Country, with a Funk cherry on top, paired with lyrics that reflect many aspects of the human experience.
Anthony Paul takes on lead and rhythm guitar duties as well as vocals, with a heart and soul rarely seen in today's bands. His voice and playing style possess a raw and gritty flare, reminiscent of the era when bands like the Stones, Hendrix, and Zeppelin ruled the airwaves. Drummer Kris James plays the skins as superbly as the drummers of his favorite jam bands. Keeping the groove on bass, is David Daniels. And back in the fold after taking a few years off, is the welcome addition of Matt Zahn, tripping things out on the rhythm guitar.
Formerly The Record Heat, Danville Trains have been playing locally for nearly a decade. While having a tremendous repertoire of songs by legendary bands, the original songs are what distinguish Danville Trains from the musical status quo. They've
released three self-produced full-length albums of original material; Biography, LMNOP, and Slick Grooves. Hellfire and brimstone delayed production of their next album, but it may still be completed someday.
