Christopher Joseph "Chris" Burke (born August 26, 1965, in Point Lookout, New York) who was the beloved "Corky" from the ABC TV Series, Life Goes On. Chris Burke was born with down's syndrome, yet managed to have a successful career as both an actor and as a singer. Early in his career he learned music and stage by tap-dancing. Later he went on to play a down's syndrome adolescent in a made for TV movie. Burke's ability to take direction in spite of his handicap was impressive enough for him to get his own series, the aforementioned, Life Goes On.

Currently, Burke tours the U.S. with his 4-piece folk band. He sings with his twin friends, Joe and John DeMasi. The DeMasi brothers were music counselors at the Town of Hempstead's ANCHOR program for children with disabilities.
