CHERRY CHOKE Rumoured to be named after a Victorian prostitute with a very unique talent, Cherry Choke play heavy psychedelic rock. Think! Blue Cheer fighting it out with Baby Woodrose as the Jimi Hendrix Experience look on from the bar. Think! Molten guitars hyped up on cheap fuzz with an untutored yet soulful vocal courtesy of (ex The Kings of Frog Island and Josiah) frontman Mathew Bethancourt. Think! Heavy Gibson bass grooves from Gregg Hunt (Obscure Ivresse) and a furious Keith Moon drum attack from Dan Lockton.

The amazing debut album (released by Elektrohasch 2009) set the standard. A blend of heavy psych mastery and new song craft introduced the band to the underground rock scene. High octane live shows in the UK and Europe with the likes of Colour Haze did not dissapoint those in need of a true power trio.
The second album from Cherry Choke "A night in the arms of Venus... leads to a lifetime on Mercury" released by Elektrohasch September 2011 sees the band marching on into the shadows of late-60's psychedelia and flourishing. This concept album follows the journey of a hard living Victorian gent with an eye for the syphilitic ladies of the night, through to his final Mercury ridden twisted end.
