Cheloo

Cheloo (C?t?lin ?tefan Ion by his real name) is a Romanian hip-hop artist and a founding member of Parazi?ii. He is also a music producer and together with Ombladon and Freakadadisk he set up 20 CM Records. He started out as a producer and sound engineer at Studio Box, the place where he gained most of his experience. Starting 2003 he has his own studio and is currently promoting his personal label called 16HZ and acts as a producer for two local acts.

In March 1994, Cheloo starts a hip-hop group called Parazi?ii, Ombladon joining him in May. Their first track together is called '?n Jur' (a play on words, "?n jur" means "around", while "?njur" means "I swear") and is released on September 13, 1994. The day after they have their first concert at a high-school prom.

2003 is the year of Cheloo's first solo album called "Sindromul Tourette". His first single and video will later be extracted from it, thus "Vicii" (feat. Bitz?) becoming his most famous song.

December 2005 is the month of Confort 3, an unruly production which will bring the Parazi?ii an enormous success but also a great deal of issues with the National Audiovisual Council. The video for 'Praf' (en. 'Dust') has been said to incite illegal drug use.

In March 2006 Cheloo launches his second solo album called Fabricant de gunoi. It includes several collaborations with Freakadadisk, Ombladon, Killarmy and Texta. Their first video combines two tracks, "Opera?iunea cur pansat" and "Fabricant de gunoi".

In 2011 Cheloo released his third solo album called Celcareur??te. The last song on this album, Periculos, marks a radical departure from his previous style, combining rap and rock elements. Cheloo has expressed an interest in pursuing a hardcore oriented style.
