By Heart

The story of By Heart's beginning is a familiar one; four high school friends decided that they wanted to start a band. Although we started playing together in 1995, it was not until a couple of years later that we became more serious about our future as a group. We could think of no better way to spread our music and gain experience than to play on the streets of our hometown of Stockholm. Every weekend, we would set up our equipment and perform in areas of the city where we were sure to attract a crowd.

After some time, we decided to take our act on the road and started playing on the streets of other cities including Amsterdam, Berlin, Paris and Copenhagen. After selling over 17,000 copies of our self-recorded and self-produced demos, it was time to record our first full-length debut album. In the spring of 2006 we recorded "Exit Signs" which was officially released on October 21, 2006 on our own label.

By Heart now permanently live in Berlin, Germany.
