Brigid Kaelin was on the fast track to a high-power career as a TV producer in New York City, when her mother was diagnosed with cancer. Kaelin immediately quit her job as associate producer (at age 21, she was the youngest AP at CBS News), and moved home to Kentucky to be with her mom. "I figured New York would always be there, but my mom might not," Kaelin said.

Although she hadn't intended on staying home long, Kaelin re-discovered a passion for music and performing during her return to Louisville. But when she decided to make music her life, most people laughed: a college-educated career woman playing music?!

No one's laughing now.

Brigid Kaelin released her first CD "Keep Your Secrets," on June 21, 2005, and immediately climbed the bestseller list several weeks in a row at the top local music store, outselling every other local solo artist in Louisville in 2005.

Whether playing to crowds of 20 or 2000 people, Brigid Kaelin is known for her incredible, engaging stage presence and interaction with the audience, her ability to shine on several instruments. Brigid has also opened for folks like Kim Richey, Over the Rhine, Garrison Starr, Matthew Ryan, David Mead, Patti Griffin, and more, almost always outselling the headliner in CDs.

In another lifetime, Brigid played and sang in a New York City-based Irish Ballad/Ceili band, playing 300-year-old tunes all around the Northeast.
She also spent time as a cabaret pianist in New York City's West Village. Kaelin is a trained jazz pianist, and can play anything anyone requests -- jazz, rock, classical, country, you name it.
She also enjoys performing as a sideman with Louisville rockers such as Tim Krekel, Danny Flanigan, Peter Searcy, and others.
