I was born in Whitehorse, Yukon. I lived there and went to school there until 1981, when my dad moved us to Prince George because his band had a great house gig they were doing. We stayed there till 1983, then moved to White Rock, BC. That's where I went to school and started to learn about guitars and music in general. After that, we moved to Crescent Beach, where we stayed for about 14 years. I spent my teenage years there on the beach where I started learning about girls and the blues in general.
Now I live half my time in Yukon and half in Vancouver. I'm not a natural born city slicker, so getting back to my small-town roots is a lifesaver for me, my sanity and peace of mind. My next adventure and move is to buy a piece of waterfront property and build my own log cabin on it out in the sticks. I'll start with just a porch so I can sit on it and play my blues and watch the world go by.
As far as traveling is concerned, I do all my traveling with music as my main transportation. I've played in Holland, Germany, France (where I spent a couple months), Austria, Belgium, Norway, the U.S. and all over Canada. I've played in every province and territory except the Rock (Newfoundland). Somebody call me and get me a gig there so I can cross it off my bucket list!
