Blythe, AKA Robert Bishop Jr. was born in Porterville, a small town in the San Juaquin Valley. He has been living in Japan for the last 10 years performing mostly in the Tokyo area. His music is influenced by a wide range of artists including: The Orb, His Name is Alive, The Cocteau Twins, The Future Sound of London, Harold Budd, Brian Eno, John Lee Hooker, Stars of the Lid, Thomas Fehlman, Kraftwerk, Aphex twin and Terry Riley. He recently released 'puff' which has lead to much critical acclaim. He hasn't noticed yet as he never pays attention to what his critics have to say.
Last week he had sex with a water buffalo and ate tuna while playing the mandolin. He wants to be a carp in his next life and craves chocolate. He has a rash on his inner thigh that tingles like a 10 volt battery when applied to the tongue. In his dreams he's a robin with an appetite for jello.
