JUNIEL (???), born September 3, 1993, is a South Korean singer and songwriter under FNC Entertainment. She began her career in Japan in early 2011, before debuting in South Korea the following year. She was first known as 'Junie', but eventually changed her name to 'JUNIEL'. The name is derived by combining her name, Junie, and L for 'love'. 2011: Japanese Debut, "Dream & Hope" & "Forever" Juniel made her official debut on April 29, 2011, by releasing a Japanese EP titled 'Ready go!'.

On July 12, 2011, she released her second EP, titled 'Dream & Hope'. The song "Mask" was inspired by the musical 'Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde'.
After her second single, Juniel underwent a label change to Warner Music Japan and made her 'major debut' with the single "Forever". "Forever" was wrote in order to give support to the people who suffered from the Great East Japan Earthquake. The song was used as the ending theme song for "Gamers Yoasobi Sanshimai". A second song from the single, "Travel", was also used for a television commercial.
2012: "??? ????????" & Korean Debut
On February 15, 2012, Juniel released her second Japanese single, "??? ????????". The song later became the ending theme song for various shows, such as "Music B.B.", "Music Focus" and "King Kong No Arukoto Naikoto".
On April 22, 2012, the singer appeared at "K-Pop Captivating the World - Just Rock CN Blue". This is where her hype track, "?? (with ??? (CNBLUE))", was released.
On June 7, 2012, her official debut single, "illa illa (?? ??)", was released. She held her debut showcase and released her full EP 'My First June' on the same day. Her self-composed songs, which were previously released in Japan, are also included in the release.
