Stan Tracey is one of the UK's most original, talented - yet startlingly underrated - jazz musicians. Sonny Rollins is quoted as saying "Does anyone here realise how good he really is?" Tracey played professionally from the age of 16, before becoming house pianist at the famous Ronnie Scott's jazz club in his home city - London. In this capacity he accompanied many great musicians of the day including Rollins, Stan Getz, Roland Kirk and Zoot Sims.
