Attic Base

Attic Base is a music production team comprised of husband and wife Matt Burton and Melissa Mello, and Michael Burton (Matt's brother). The unique songs that emerge have a nasty and powerful quality that warps the line between alternative, pop, and electronic music. Trained as classical composers, their sounds core foundation is synthesized. Layers of rock, pop, and even blues make up the framework that is Attic Base.

Having already enjoyed commercial radio success with the premiere of their synthpop tracks, "Ultra", and "Electric Butterfly", Attic Base independently released their debut album, "Action" the following year. Both A Different Drum Records and Kinetic Response Records were involved in the distribution of their first release. Several tracks from the album appeared on various CD compilations throughout the nation. As a result of their commercial radio play on both Salt Lake City's X96 and KRCL, their techno rock single, "Night Vision", was later selected to appear on the X96 premier indie artist alternative rock local band compilation: X96 Live & Local Vol 1.

Following the release of their third album- New World View in 2007, they have signed over a dozen licensing deals and are now getting their music placed in reality TV shows as well as commercials. Music licensing for film, TV and video games is now their primary focus.
