Rie Sinclair is a Los Angeles based recording artist and top line writer, who grew up in St. Paul, MN. She has been writing and/or producing music for TV since 2004. Among other shows, her music & voice has been heard on Ghost Whisperer, Lipstick Jungle, Samantha Who, Bionic Woman, Law & Order, and Californication. She was nominated in 06 for an Emmy for the song, ?Where You Are? (co-written with producer/guitarist Bob Hartry) which appeared on the album, On The 5th Floor in Dec. 2007. She launched her own label, I Miss You Records in 2008.
She's written 100+ titles in-house for ABC/Disney, exposing an eclectic range of styles for this chameleon-like composer.
Her last full-length album, A Moment You Never Dreamed was followed up with a collection of RieMixes early 2011.
Recent singles released end of 2010/early 2011: "How The Story Ends" first featured on MTV & "No Way Out" featured on the CW's Vampire Diaries. Prior to the LP, "On The 5th Floor" (a series of tunes written for TV), her first EP, "Glow? appeared in 2006, much more along the artists dreamy tones: dark but vulnerable with a twist of pop. 6 months later on Valentine's Day, 3 bittersweet love songs were published under the collection title, "Falling In Love". ABC has released many of her singles, including songs performed by Actress Kristen Alderson, and several indie artists: Caitlin Crosby, Jay Nash, Molly Jensen, Jayson Belt, Piera Klein, & Chris Cox.
Her songwriting credits Include KiLR, who's first music video was a co-write, & the young Hollywood darling Elle Vee. She's working up several Electroncia projects with mixer Bob DeMaa, producer Steve Hopkins, & mixer/engineer Jason Bouma (who hand-crafted an amplifier for Sinclair). Other side projects include frontman/producer Jimmy Young & Oliver The Penguin, with Tommy Walter (Abandoned Pools/Eels). The two worked on the theme title for 2010's MTV series Blonde Charity Mafia (also available on iTunes).
Her notable work at ABC/Disney has attracted daytime fans with her couples love theme-songs, including "Just You & Me" & the scandalous but lush "Kish" Song (Kyle & Oliver), My Confession, for One Life To Life. She was also the voice of SOAPnet's first original Prime-time series, ?General Hospital: Night Shift?.
