Tlahoun Gessesse is an Ethiopian Artist who had been active since the 60's. His songs mainly focus on love and romance, but he was also able to make songs that were socially conscience and somewhat political. This artist had an imputation recently, and had almost died from a cut on his throat, which was attempted to kill him. Tlahoun Gessesse has a unique voice that can reach high notes and he is strongly favored by other artists of his era, young artists, musicans and mostly the people of Ethiopia.
