New York City-based musician/artist/muse, Jihae traversed the world in her youth from Korea, Nigeria, Sweden to London and ultimately to New York City. In 2007, she released her debut LP My Heart Is An Elephant, which received critical acclaim. Trace Magazine declared her, ?A creative genius.? In 2008 she released her second LP, Elvis Is Still Alive, which Dave Allen (Gang of Four) blogged, ?A delicate masterpiece?.
Also a multimedia artist, Jihae's expanding work in music, fine art and films has received critical acclaim with works featured on IFC, NME, MTV, Pitchfork, ID, Vogue Germany, NY Press, etc. She has collaborated with numerous creatives and filmmakers including Michel Gondry, Christopher Doyle, Marco Brambilla and Lenny Kravitz.
Lately, Jihae has been developing a reputation for her captivating live shows, injecting the audience with a dream-like experience that lasts well after her set is over. Her spellbinding performances have reached far and wide from the Cannes Film Festival for her musical score of a short film collective,?One Dream Rush," to a Hennessy commercial in Morocco and an opening act for Lou Reed and Sonic Youth at the Anthology Film Archives' 40th Anniversary benefit.
