Zombie Destr?ktion emerged in 2003 from the remains of Swedish Death/Thrash Metal act Fall From Grace. As FFG was in a state of hibernation, its two founding members Markus Porsklev and Thomas Clifford decided to work on some new ideas, and started Zombie Destr?ktion. Zombie Destr?ktion was originally intended to be an old-school Splatter/Death Metal project with gory lyrics and heavy yet simple riffs. A few songs were recorded for fun (the very first version of the song Braaains for example) but with both band members studying full-time things went rather slow.

In 2005 Markus and Thomas decided to give it another shot and brought Mikael in on guitars. This gave the band a whole new sound: more complex and technical, yet brutal and melodic. This was quite different from the original "old-school-death" idea, but it didn't take long to realize that this sound was far better and much more interesting. The new sound inspired to a new lyrical concept, no longer consisting only of zombies and gore but also of pirates, ninjas, butchers and Mexican mummies!
The full length debut album "Tales of Morbid Mummification" was finished in january 2007, and includes 10 tracks of swashbuckling zombie-mayhem (ninjas included)!
Everything was written, recorded, produced, mixed and mastered in Studio Sekhmet by Zombie Destr?ktion. The artwork for the album was provided by the talented Ivan S. Bragin of Deadhouse Art (Amon Amarth, Paganizer, Woods of Ypres, etc).
