Zach Bloom

Zach Bloom is an electronic musician currently based in Southern Arizona, where the endless terrain and ancient energies inspire his work. His music covers a broad spectrum, ranging from minimalist ambient to dance grooves and often lingers in the tense space where order arises from chaos, creation from destruction. While Bloom's recordings are electronic in nature, his influences are tribal as well. Bloom finds there is a connection between the sparse arctic music of Scandinavia and the barren music of his desert homeland.

Zach's music is sample based and is infused with the sounds he records in the desert, giving it an organic feeling that pulses like a web of life. His music is designed to represent the interconnectedness of all life on earth, showing that we are part of this super-organism we call earth. Often collecting sounds ranging from the mating calls of frogs, birds, and insects, to the friction between the sliding of rocks and the electricity in the air, Zach explores how we as a species interact with our surroundings.

As a painter and sculptor, Zach embeds in his music a colorful, visual quality that takes listeners on an inner voyage. His music is meant to have a multi-dimensional quality, placing the listener in the center of a spiraling musical panorama. His music is meant for that time just after waking up.
