ART PUNK Is a great way to describe the music of WILTON SAID... While safety pins and spiked hair are NOT a visual trait of the band, a bit of rawness mixed in with tasteful Art Rock IS the sonic trait. The Artyness can be attributed to the eclectic song writing and singing of band leader Wilton with his compositional and vocal influences ranging from Marillion, Genesis, Catherine Wheel, The Cure and A Perfect Circle. Mix in the rawness of Guitarist Chris Reid's influences such as Green Day, The Off Spring, and Cub and you've got the ART PUNK of WILTON SAID...

Added to the mix are long running band members Richard Rizzo with his skilled and tasteful Prog Rock drumming, and Frank Heisler keeping the madness in check with his grounded, straight ahead groove oriented Bass playing.

WILTON SAID...'s current release "Half Life" dives once again into the more darker issues such as, multiple personalities on the moody title track ?Half Life?, addictions on the 5/8 alternative rocker ?Endorphin Crash?, and revenge lust on the straight ahead rocker ?Down?. That's not to say it's all doom and gloom as there's a hope and calmness on this this release on songs like the 14 minute epic ?Simple? and the light jazzy yet spacey ?City on the Water?. This release also features a first for WILTON SAID... as it includes a somber yet dynamic classical cover song titled ?Bydlo? which is part of the Pictures at an Exhibition suite by Modest Mussorgsky.

Vocally, "Half Life" features the most dynamic performance of Wilton as he has incorporated a darker tone into his sound which contrasts nicely with his softer, lighter and smoother vocals.

Wilton, who holds a Degree in Musical Composition from York University, has been performing in the G.T.A. promoting his various CD's through live shows and interviews.
