art of simplicity were created during the summer of 2003 and, as their name declares, they want to play music that balances between "simplicity" - in a way that a listener not familiar with the sound can enjoy - and "art" - so that the listener that searches for something more is intrigued. Their sound was determined by the combined creativity of all members. During the summer of 2005, once all members had gathered, they released the self-financed demo CD "asymmetric".
During the summer of 2005, once all members had gathered, they released the self-financed demo CD "asymmetric". Drums, keyboards and vocals were recorded at Fragile Studio, while all the other instruments were recorded at simple studio, which is substantially the mobile home studio of the group. That was where production was also completed. The demo received much appreciation in many Webzines and was awarded the "Demo of the month" title in the Greek Metal Hammer.
During the period summer 2005 - February 2006 they completed the recordings and the production of their first full-length album, titled "caught in this Iless storm". Drums were recorded at Subways Studio, while everything else took place in simple studio (including mixing and mastering).
In August 2006, art of simplicity signed their contract with the Greek independent label "Burning Star Records" and in January 2007 they released their album under this label. In February 2007, Aris left the group. In May Thedore Kalantzakos joined art of simplicity as the new guitarist.
