Vicki Logan

Vicki Logan - born Vicki Lee Vietzke - never really planned on becoming a composer/musician. In 6th grade she was introduced to band class and played the flute, but was never really good at sight reading music and had a hard time "reading" it in band, But, somehow she managed to memorize everything by listening to everyone around her. She loved playing and excelled at it. She played the flute to her pets, to the trees, to just about anyone or anything that would suffer through a performance. It was always fun making Buttons, and eventually Buggs, (her dogs) bark and howl.

Today Vicki has 4 CDs out, all of which can be sampled here at the site. She's been the President of the Minnesota Association of Songwriters, is a member of ASCAP, been involved as a member with NARAS, taught about the business of being a musician/composer/songwriter, met and worked with many well-known musicians in the industry, received numerous awards and honors, and accomplished more as an independent than many have as label artists.

Touring and performing has been limited as Vicki has health issues, but she continues to write music in all styles and holds house concerts on a regular basis. Occasionally she'll donate one to help out animal welfare organizations or social organizations. She loves visiting retirement communities and assisted living homes.

From the first CD, "CHASING DREAMS" to "THE JOURNEY", Vicki has always promoted that one should "Always follow your dreams". To this day, she still promotes that belief and hopes that everyone, no matter what their age, race, gender, financial background, etc. keep that in mind and just because the media and a few naysayers expect that you can't, doesn't mean YOU can't do it. Just find out what it will take to get the job done and DO IT. "Don't wait for opportunity, MAKE opportunity. If I haven't lived my life this way on a small scale," Vicki says, "just think of the singer from Britian's Got Talent, Susan Boyle. No matter what any one thought about her, she went up there and did her thing. How humbling for those naysayers. 'Nuff said."
