VERNON OXFORD came to Nashville in 1964 and after some trouble in finding a record label interested in his style of traditional country, he was signed by RCA Victor and Chet Atkins in 1965. His biggest hits on RCA Victor were: REDNECK (The Redneck Nationa Anthem) and: IN THE SHADOWS OF MY MIND He is currently being promoted by Everett Corbin, a former editor of MUSIC CITY NEWS (1966-67), who is also writing a country music column for the fans and djs, entitled:
