Arlene Nofchissey Williams is a Native American singer. She studied music and art at the Sante Fe Institute for American Indian Art, and her ?rst major album was titled ?Go My Son?, referring to the admonition of 19th Century Navajo leader, Manuelito, who told the Navajo: ?Education is the ladder by which we can defend ourselves on an equal footing with the Whiteman.
