TRUCK was a Malaysian Psych/Rock group from the 1970's, comprised of three members that were formerly in the band THE OCTOBER CHERRIES... During their brief time together, this groovy trio would release only one album of songs, the little-known masterpiece SURPRISE, SURPRISE from 1974... Listening to this record, one is quick to note the musical influences that inspired their sound... Bands like THE BEATLES, THE MOVE, WE ALL TOGETHER and THE MERRY-GO-ROUND are the first artists to come to mind, and that ain't a bad thing.

. You should also know that all of these songs are original compositions and sung in English, so don't let their overseas origin mislead you...

Overall, it's a great Summer listen that could have sadly disappeared into obscurity, had the good people at GUERSSEN RECORDS not given this a proper reissue back in 2004... Thankfully, this Spanish record label knew they had something special here and we can all now enjoy this Psych rarity from 35 years ago...
