Prog metal from Ohio, with strong flavors of early FATES WARNING (with an updated sound). There are flashes of ASKA in some of the heavier moments, and good musicianship is displayed throughout. The full-range and melodic vocals are a plus as well. "Dawning" is numerous good tracks to be found here, including "Final Day," "Hands of Time," "Premonitions," "Visionary," and the chugging backbone of the title cut.

"The Mind's Eye" shows the band's instrumental side, and the twelve-plus minute disc closer "Years Ago" also has its moments.
