Sometimes it's the quiet ones that you have to watch out for, like a faint whisper in your ear that makes the hairs stand up on the back of your neck. This Unique Museum is the brainchild of Ben Fitton, mixing the gentle pace of low-fi indie rock with the ambient sound of shoe gazing dream pop. Ben Fitton has released two albums under the moniker of This Unique Museum and a handful of EPs, with the former being recorded as Chapters and later as Installments.

The Chapters work on the premise that entire recording sessions are made available to the listener for free for a limited time allowing them to provide feedback as to the albums contents. This frees the artist from their own subjection and places the recording in the hands of an audience who has no current emotional or nostalgic attachment to the music. This way the selection process for the album can be viewed and chosen without interruption or bias and then hopefully the listener can feel like they have created a body of work along with the artist. Although originally a Chapter was to be completed every season, an electrical fire damaged much of the recording equipment so it was thought best to hold off capturing the sessions for the time being and work on the songs in more depth while more equipment was purchased.
In stark contrast, the Installments feature a small number of tracks per release in which a handful of songs are picked by artists that Ben finds inspiring and reinterprets them by using the skeletal structure and building an alternative from the pieces left behind.
As a thank you to fans, the single 'The Architect Of...(The Ghost In The Machine)' is to be released, available only through Myspace?, issued to all friends of the bands profile.
