The Truffles

Lesley Rostron was born in Valdez, Alaska and spent her first few years in a log cabin her father built. She began playing piano, singing, and writing poetry at an early age, picking up guitar in her teens. A gifted mimic with a phonographic memory, she could sing hundreds of popular songs by the time she played her first professional gig at age 14 with her father's rock band in a local Alaskan pub. By the time she was 17 she had formed her first original rock band, The Truffles. Her first CD, "Truffula", became a regional hit in 1998.

In 1999, fresh out of high school, on the strength of regional airplay and internet buzz Lesley accepted a management contract with Dale Kawishima Music and moved to Los Angeles where she worked with noted producers Michael Vail Blum and Peter Rafelson, as well as performing solo or with musical partner Melissa Surels at various L.A. Venues. Her first full length CD, "Aftertaste" (available at I-Tunes, CD Baby and other outlets) containing 11 songs was released in 2000.
After two years in L.A. (finding it not what she needed) and a period of traveling, Lesley arrived in Bellingham, Washington where she recorded the five song demo "Wishing Well" (Also available at CD Baby, and I-Tunes.)with her band "Lovejunkie" and producer Chip Westerfield. The recording sessions led to her present partnership with Westerfield at Bayside Studios in Bellingham. Lesley and Chip anticipate a new full length CD will be available in 2007.
