For 10 years now ? nearly the period of lifelong imprisonment - the Skaliners have been operating from Heidelberg/Darmstadt (Bergstra?e) and are still supplying danceable and potentially addictive sounds for music consumers all over the world. They ?steal? influences from a wide variety of musical spheres and combine these under the one common flag of ska music. Based on the traditional ska rhythms of the 1960s and 1980s from Jamaica and England as well as rock and soul inputs the gang of 9 crooks creates a sound for which some people might sell their mothers or try to steal the stars

After a few self-produced bootlegs they received the rewards for their criminal activities in the form of applause and good reviews for their CDs ?Skarrera? (2001) and ?Belly dance? (2003) in the relevant magazines. In 2004 they shut themselves up in a conspiratorial recording studio to commit the perfect crime in creating ?Steal the music? ? a worthy successor to their other albums. It is possible that you might have heard one or two sets of chords before somewhere or other but there are no stolen goods on this album because ?as you know- there are only 12 notes in the well tempered tone system!
Get this and skank 'til you drop!
