There are two bands with this name: 1. The Moondogs (alternatively known as just "Moondogs") was a power pop power trio from Derry in Norther Ireland that had some success in the late 70s and early 80s. They were made up of Gerry McGandless (guitar/vocals), Jackie Hamilton (bass), and Austin Barett (drums). They released four singles and one LP called "That's What Friends Are For". The latter was released only in Germany by Sire Records and was mostly unavailable until its 1999-onwards bootlegging.
