The Harvard Opportunes
Genre:
Pop/Rock

The Harvard Opportunes is Harvard's oldest co-ed student A'Capella group. In 1980, two Harvard-Radcliffe students, Simin Yazdgerdi and Suzanne Goldsmith, transformed a loosely organized co-ed singing group called the Harvard Squares into Harvard's first full-fledged mixed a cappella ensemble. While the name has changed from Harvard-Radcliffe to Harvard, The Opportunes have had consistent intricate six-to-eight-part harmonies, black tie and black velvet dresses, and sense of humor.
