The Gurus are a power pop influenced psychedelic rock trio from Barcelona, Spain. It is made up of musicians Josep Pons, Emili Ramirez, and Serio Bartel. The band has released four albums through Rainbow Quartz records since they formed in 1996. Their self-titled debut album The Gurus was released in 2004, and was modeled after The Beatles classic album Revolver It received favorable reviews from Exclaim Magazine, Spill Magazine, and the Ottawa Express. The latter referred to the album as "a gem from some hipster's garage sale" with a "warm, dreamy, pretend-every-day-is-sunny feel".
